SWAC Representatives and Volunteers
The Solid Waste Alliance Communities (SWAC) is composed of representatives and alternates appointed by the Selectboards of our member towns. These individuals dedicate countless hours to the Solid Waste Implementation Plan (SWIP)—the state-mandated plan that keeps our towns in compliance and ensures we are handling everything from daily recycling to hazardous materials safely. Our representatives serve as the vital link between SWAC and our communities, keeping local boards informed on our obligations and the ever-changing world of solid waste management.
Appointments are made by local Selectboards. If you are interested in volunteering to help your town manage its solid waste and recycling obligations, please contact your local Town Office.
